2009/2010 Hyundai I10
Not Fit for an American Market?
The new Hyundai I10 is definitely one of a kind. Unfortunately, Hyundai has been hurting in American auto sales lately, many say it is due to their shortage in smaller vehicles for city driving. The irony is that the I10 is a small vehicle, but perhaps too small for the American market. A larger versions known as the I30, which will be badged in 2009/2010 as the new “Elantra“, is being considered for the American market over the smaller I10.
Produced in India, the car is already successful in the European market and plans for an I20 variant are pending approval. The I30 has already received approval for the American market and should arrive sometime between late 2009 and 2010.
